we are delighted to announce that nuxt v4 alpha ships TODAY! 
... and we're aiming for a stable release of v4 by the end of the month.
(nuxt v5 will come later this year once nitro v3 is ready)

honestly? we should have shipped v4 last year
... but now is a good time for other reasons:
teams are already using compatibilityVersion: 4 in production
it will allow a smoother two-stage migration (v3 → v4 → v5)
so here's the plan:

community module PRs & migration guides
docs with version switcher
full upgrade guide for v3 users
RC planned for June 23
