Some imagination plus some history will let you know OH NO it can get way way worse. And fixing damage is (no surprise) slower than making damage.
This is probably why it’s fine to be righteous about traditions and institutions, but you have to explain WHY and what happens IF NOT. Otherwise it just feels like disciplinarianism.

But bread & circuses — is a good thing if we change it to free education, free healthcare, and sports to substitute for war — loyalty is great for sports teams, not for politics and companies —
And monarchs to substitute for personality cults. Boris Johnson and Clive Palmer couldn’t be Trump
