@MylesRyden @molly0xfff Maybe I'm just cynical, but I thought we all knew that was the case from the Jump? El Salvador essentially struck up a deal with one gang, stop killing people willy nilly, rat out your competition and we'll throw them in jail and give you a defacto monopoly.

It's a deal that's been struck hundreds of times before (See the Yakuza in Japan, or the Mafia in New York/Chicago, police gangs in LA).
