I love Jim Carrey and I’ve always got time for Sonic - a real blast from the past of my teenage years! I actually really enjoyed the first film, somehow have combined film 1/2 into the same entity so don’t remember it, but looking forward to this one. It’s similar to The Grinch, where he’s playing an over-the-top insane character, and he’s so good at that.

oh yes, I think you’ll like it then. For me they’ve improved as the franchise has gone on, with each film leaning more into Jim being Jim. There’s an amazing fourth wall break in this one that makes it clear that they know what works.
