Fresh
We're an almost 15 year old queer feminist collective that runs a bookstore co-op and social movement space in Southern Appalachia. We鈥檙e an intimately democratic project, operating without bosses or investors to create a hub for anarchist thought and culture. But we鈥檙e not just a home base for committed radicals鈥攚e strive to promote exploration and encounter by being a welcoming and accessible space for our entire community.
While we host meetings and workshops in person, most of our book-related events鈥攊ncluding author talks and reading groups鈥攁re virtual and free to attend. We collaborate with grassroots community organizers and radical publishers to develop programming that is provocative, varied, and timely. You can see some of what鈥檚 coming up at https://firestorm.coop/calendar.html. Have an event idea? Email venue@firestorm.coop
Our co-op features books that reflect our interests, and the needs of marginalized communities in the South. If you鈥檙e connecting with us at a distance, we鈥檙e happy to ship books to you! We offer a flat rate of $3 to mail any number of in-stock titles domestically. https://firestorm.coop/catalog/new.html
Folks who help to sustain us through a Patreon membership get a 10% discount and can access free shipping. Don鈥檛 see a book you want in our catalog? Email bookstore@firestorm.coop
