I’m not at all sure this AI-fueled growth is ultimately going to be good for San Francisco. The bubble has to burst, doesn’t it? And in the meantime, making the city even more unaffordable sounds bad.

This just sounds bad all around.

I mean on one level it has been a boom and bust town since 1849. But I haven't been an especially big fan of the last few booms either.

It feels very much like 2001 walking around now. Lots of highly paid young folks in jobs that could go away at any moment working stupid long hours and unconnected to the ongoing life of the local community.

It is bad.

Ugh.
