Getting a bike fit, some brand new padded bike shorts, and buying some SIS gels has made a huge difference to my endurance.

I could have gone a bit further, which is an amazing achievement after the 40 mile ride I did last year that ended with me running out of blood sugar.

Thank you! It’s thirteen years old this year and about to be retired. It’ll still get used as a winter bike though!

I bought it three years before gravel bikes became a thing, and they’ve just exploded in popularity. So I’m upgrading to get bigger easier gearing, disk brakes and big chonky tyres.
