Are the seals out and about in , does anyone know?
Swimming out to the yellow buoy in Kemptown around 5pm yesterday there were three or four unusual sploshes around me. Circular splash, heavy but not breaking the surface. Not spread out like small fry fleeing mackerel. Nor like the mullet that sometimes graze the surface. Wosco non? A bit unnerving.

Drying off on the beach I saw a dark spot 100 yards or so out. Watched for a minute or so then it disappeared. Again walking back from Marine Parade. Didn't seem as round as seals I've seen but it was a way off. Maybe profile. I think it must be. Ok so I've swum with seals. Now I'm off to dance with wolves.
