Oh yeah that can happen. We use OSM for data. It's maintained by a huge community, but can have some lag.
If you're interested you can adjust it by leaving a note on the map or just opening an account and helping out. :)

Or, more generally, than some other OSM front end. For example, I normally use Organic Maps when mobile.
There's a claim that you show 'all shops' in the web site, but it looks as if you show the same ones that OSM shows. Google puts a lot of advertising into persuading business owners to list themselves and other metadata (opening hours and so on) that OSM can't match. Are you solving that problem somehow?

OSM is a website made for data input, made for the people who update the actual dataset.
Our map has a user interface which makes it possible for non-tech people to use it like a normal mapsite (is that even a word?) And it works better with a modern looking map.
