One threat to the project is that everything is published on YouTube and may disappear one day. Although, hopefully, others will have made copies by then.

Hopefully they're also archiving the digitized videos in places besides youtube.

I hope that as well. We tend to be remarkably short-sighted about this kind of thing.

And let me tell y'all, this is not nearly as easy as you might guess. That kind of R2R media often has a lot of problems, especially over time, that require special knowledge and tools to deal with. 'Heroic' hardly begins to describe this effort.
