Their specified lifetime is five years, and given what they sent up, they seem to be hitting that target, and we can expect 1000-1500 coming down every year soon, and up to 7000 per year should the extended constellation of 34,400 satellites be reached. Lots of trash.
They really are throwaway satellites… i went down the rabbit hole and tried collecting information where they are likely to crash. But after seeing this map, most of the globe is at risk (a really tiny risk though)
