The evidence that is very harmful to cognition, especially for developing and young brains, has been presented. Obviously, science isn't as rapid as breaking-things-tech, but we have seen enough to warrant drastic and decisive legislation on age restriction, I think. AI harms the brains of its users, more rapidly and intensely than other drugs, which are regulated. It is already too late for some people TODAY, we need immediate action to age-gate AI and protect the brains of our children.
If you're among those still retaining cognitive capacity, here is a video summarizing scientific knowledge on the topic. And there are links to the studies in the video description: https://youtu.be/6aVRQDKJ9Dg?si=bKlUvprD3m_YD7UN

ChatGPT Brain Rot Is Real (And Getting Worse)Isn't it fascinating how people have become unable to argue and just block each other when they realise they're about to lose an argument?
After these three posts (screenshots), I assume to prevent me from replying, and to make it look like I'd accepted his last argument quietly, schizanon@mastodon.social quickly blocked me. Instead of trying to become a better and/or smarter person, their response was faking a win by gagging me.

This is a known pattern, also used in politics, especially visible with populism. It works, third party observers often fall for it.
1. Link the argument to an unrelated one, preferably one that is emotionally charged.
2. Use the unrelated argument as an analogy and show that it was wrong.
This way, you don't need to argue the actual point, but rather one you know how to counter and invented yourself. In the end, it makes it look like you won the argument, when actually you just avoided it.
