I'm unsure that they actually meant it.

Their plan is to destroy the environment, cash out, and then society collapses by 2040. They'll be net zero then!

I remember the Speed & Scale book by John Doerr in which he was arguing that it would be companies like Amazon or Walmart who will deliver carbon neutral economy. If only...
