Here's why it's actually good though:
1. The PSF's job is to take donations, and then to turn those into material positive impacts on our community. The fact that the grants have been disbursed to various applicants faster than expected means that they are doing their job. Sitting on a big treasure hoard is antithetical to the mission. The PSF is not a for-profit company or even a university endowment program. This means that a lot of folks writing grant proposals got money already.
