Yes a document that could be edited by multiple authors who have permissions. What I mean by “plugged into” is an application whose codebase is open so it can be made part of a bigger web app!

I am looking for a collaborative markdown (.md) editor a) whose source code is open; b) which supports academic refrencing of some kind; and c) which can be plugged in a different web app?
