Indonesia’s uprising is apparently how SEAtizens found out we all use the same kind of gas canisters, even in Singapore, although most places only have the largest one.

Most of Indonesia don’t have piped gas, we all have to deal with these replaceable canisters. We have the tiny 3kg ones, subsidized and only for the poor, often used by street vendors, while the masses use Bright Gas, the pink 5.5kg or 12kg ones, or blue gaz with 12kg tanks.

A lot of people think Singapore don’t use these tanks anymore but they’re still very common. The apartment I lived in still use these.
