I’m autistic and I live in a very black-and-white world with almost no shades of grey in between. At NO point do I ever intend to provoke, offend, troll or otherwise come across as a dick. I’m just trying to make sense of the world & sometimes, it just doesn’t make any sense at all. Please be patient with me.

TIL my best friend is expecting their first child, which I’m obviously delighted to learn. But since my wife’s passing, I am reminded at such times of what I have lost in my own life and future. I have acknowledged that at my age, I am unlikely to ever have kids of my own but it still hurts when those close to me are able to live the life I wanted. And this makes me feel bad because I can’t share their joy, which makes me feel worse.
