I thought I was happy with my fantasy story. After reading some books on story structure, revisiting McKee's work, and watching a few videos on screenwriting, I now have some strong opinions about the book's acts and structure.
I think this is good. I have learned to hate my work, which means I am getting better.
I wrote about "learning to hate your work" in Measuring Infinity, but I'm still surprised at the self-propelling nature of this insight.
