Platform regulation: Policy approaches and enforcement. Formerly at interface think tank but now private account.
Researchers around the world band together (sometimes with risk for their personal safety, privacy or mental health) to continue and support publicly available tech research and each other.
That's the gist I got from "The State of Independent Technology Research 2025: Power in Numbers".
Despite the at times dire situations for tech research, there are concrete countermeasures that could help (p. 40-44).
Rückblick nach fast einem Jahr Beirat beim deutschen Digital Services Coordinator (DSC) von @sveawindwehr:
"Im besten Fall ist es also eine Stärke des Beirats, dass er so unterschiedliche Perspektiven aus Wissenschaft, Zivilgesellschaft und Industrie zusammenbringt."
Auch Ausblick auf kommende Besetzung, da die Mitgliedschaft an die Legislaturperiode des Bundestags gekoppelt ist.
