Today, anarchist Mikalai Dziadok was released and deported from Belarus to Lithuania. He was just met by comrades in Vilnius. Upon his release, KGB officers tore up his passport.
Along with Dziadok, another 51 political prisoners were freed following negotiations between Lukashenka and Trump’s envoys.
Mikola was scheduled to be released on April 4 of this year, but a new case was opened against him for allegedly leading the organization Autonomous Action Belarus, which had been preliminarily recognized as part of a criminal organization. He faced up to 13 years in prison.
Mikola had previously served five years from 2010 to 2015 and was also among the last political prisoners released at that time through a pardon.
