@CoriBargmann @schoppik She is amazing that way. I went there a lot as an undergrad. When I came back to Boston 6 years later as a postdoc, she said “where have you been? It’s been a long time.”

yes (how did you know that?). An incredible friend from college who lives in Boston bought me a last meal from there and flew it to Chicago for me. Hard to be sad when I am so lucky and also so impressed that Mary ran that restaurant until age 83 (but I’m still sad that they’re closing!)
