I went into this eclipse with a lot less equipment than the 2017 eclipse, with the goal of enjoying the experience more and not focusing on trying to get the best picture. Yet, the camera and lens I used here are both considerably more capable than what I had seven years ago and I ended up with a considerably better picture anyway despite it being handheld and only spending ~10 seconds of the eclipse thinking about photography.
