I already knew that pink was originally the masculine color and blue the feminine color (somehow this got switched around in the 20th century), but looking at the dress-like cut of garments in the example photos in en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cashmere (out of sheer happenstance today) and then in en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Frock#19, it is really quite clear to me that clothing styles being assigned to a particular gender is pretty much just a made-up concept of recent times :blobcatcoffee:
