I am a retired academic, with an MA & PhD in Social Policy & Administration from the Universities of York & Kent respectively. I am disabled, & am deeply concerned about human, gay and disability rights, the climate emergency and the biodiversity crisis. I was politically homeless, but am increasingly favouring the Green Party. I like films, classical music, jazz & reading.
Thank you - that's really interesting! I suspect my friends have already seen it (they're pretty clued up; they've recently bought their son a weighted blanket, which he absolutely loves, but unfortunately it's too hot for it at the moment, and honestly the heat's doing a number on everyone's sleep, autistic or otherwise). But it's good to keep in mind. (Oh, and my nephew has melatonin on prescription. He's now in a residential school so I don't know how often they give it to him, but my sister used to reserve it for emergencies so he didn't become dependent.)
