The pan-European far-right alliance has been a thing ever since the 1990s, when the late Jean-Marie Le Pen took to some lengths to form cooperation amongst the continent's illiberal parties. While we twiddled our thumbs, the far-right has produced the fruits of its labor.

I mostly post and blog about Serbian current affairs.
The government and the protesters in Serbia held their vile and manipulative commemorations of Croatian Operation Storm, which comes as a neat deflection from problems plaguing the Serbian failed state, such as a shrinking workforce, pollution, and food products meant for export flavored with hazards, from Hepatitis A to aflatoxin. How come that the European countries never found any depleted uranium, the most unassailable conspiracy theory in Serbian public discourse?

The city of Bor, Serbia, lies directly in the shadow of copper and gold mining. The majority of the massive mining operation is owned by Zijin, a Chinese-owned company. The mine has expanded operations significantly in recent years. Residents are experiencing negative health impacts likely linked to air pollution from the mines. The impacts of high levels of extraction and smelting are felt across the region. Air quality is one of the main concerns.
