We're on day 7 of a 10-day, 3,300-mile road trip loop around the Midwestern United States. I've reached the part of the adventure where I'm not exactly sure which state I'm in (Illinois? Indiana? Michigan?) or what time zone I'm in (Central? Eastern?) and when I ask Siri these questions, the answer is always the same: "Sorry, I'm still having trouble with the connection."
Welcome to 2025, where you have to check multiple sources to determine whether a video of a rainbow and lightning is real or AI, and you still have no idea because nobody can agree on anything, so you don't share it with your mother, and then your mother calls you because she hasn't heard from you in a while and wonders if you're okay and if you've seen that video of a rainbow with lightning.
Elk is a nimble Mastodon web client. You can login to your Mastodon account and use it to interact with the fediverse.
