I think the crunch in itself does it, but we used to feed ours carrots when they were teething. Sometimes frozen. So additional associations.
They have a pretty high prey drive, but I'm pretty sure I could get them to ignore a pheasant running past squawking if they were aware I was holding a carrot.
Elk is a nimble Mastodon web client. You can login to your Mastodon account and use it to interact with the fediverse.
