Back in the day I was an op on undernet for

, and after that a programmer and op on StarChat.

I'm a graybeard whose been many IT things. Started in the helldesk, progressed to Sys Admin, then IT Manager.
Became a trainer (in security no less), and then a training manager before the business was bought out.
From there to DBA for an Energy company (no not Enron, but I worked with some folks from there), and finally to
a work from home programmer (C# mostly).

Outside programming/sysops/infosec my interests are martial arts (swords), fitness, camping, my daughters and my two ex service dogs.
You will see lots of posts of them from me.

My wife passed away Jun 10 2022 from a stroke, that was a lasting after effect of surviving OG COVID back in march 2020. Grief is part of my life now, and some of my posts will reflect that.

Been a little while since I posted some security related content.

Found a fun little game where you have to trick Gandalf the LLM into giving up a password it knows.

Joking aside it highlights the massive security problems with using AI agents and giving them access to sensitive data.

The prompt is your new attack surface...
