On Wednesday we got back from a few weeks in Britain. Learning from previous mistakes, I intentionally avoided promising any work to anyone before Monday, so as well as time to get over jetlag I'm kind of ending the vacation with a 4-day weekend at home. I've been gradually catching up with all kinds of things that have kept getting back-burnered, and just enjoying summer here.
Yesterday I had my first gloveless swim the sea of the year, as it's now good and warm. Also cycled a bit of the coast road between some errands, and ran into one of my taiji students and their adorable dog.
Today included the annual Weavers' Guild "spin out", when a bunch of us meet in a park with whatever portion of our individual crafts is the most portable. For most that ends up being spinning; a few were carding wool, and I think I was the only one actually weaving because my inkle loom fits nicely on a bike trailer.
I'm actually feeling ready to get back to work on Monday, but meanwhile this is all very restorative.
