yup, I recall you mentioned that in a previous message. But in the end, it costed almost nothing adding a jumper+resistor for that EPROM too, so I ended up adding it anyway.

Just in case someone wants to try some changes on the state machine and have them easily reverted.

It's worth adding this info in the readme though.
